    Advanced Map #

Also called the Pinch & Zoom Map, the Advanced Map is a biome & topographical map. A biome map shows the different types of ecosystems or biomes that exist in various regions around the world, while a topographical map shows the physical features and contours of the Earth’s surface, such as mountains, valleys, and bodies of water.

    Basic Map #

The Basic or “Regions” Map displays continents which when tapped on, open the Missionary Slideout. The slideout displays all of the missionaries categorized for that continent or region.

    Cloud #

Cloud is a tab in the Admin Area that was designed for a particular denomination. Most missionsApp users will not see the Cloud tab but it should be mentioned that missionsApp does offer Cloud Updates for Assembly of God Churches.

    Map Options #

Map Options are located in the Admin Area. Options include Toggle between Maps, Show Regions, Name Only on Pin, and Small Missionary List checkbox.

    Zoom Factor Transition #

A slider in the Maps Options Tab allows for different levels of viewing the Missionary Map Pin. Out Full through In Full. There are 6 view style levels. The Zoom Factor Transition determines whether the Missionary Pin displays a name tag on the pin or a drop pin only and varies depending on the position and how quickly a user can zoom in.

    Church Location #

In Map Options, the Church Location offers a feature that displays the location of your church. You can choose between a cross or a star for the Church Location Pin.

    Map Layout Code #

The Map Layout Code is a feature that offers different map styles based on the denomination of the church, or a custom map that has been developed to split regions in a custom way.

    Map Startup Mode #

The Map Startup Mode is a radio button selector that can be set to open either the Basic Map or the Advanced Map when the missionsApp launches. By default, the Map Startup Mode is set to Advanced and the Toggle between Maps checkbox is activated.

    Map Pin Color Mode #

This feature displays the Map Pins in either Region Colors or Organization Colors.

    Days Considered New #

This feature will display an indicator when missionary information is updated. You can choose from 0, 7, 14, 30, 45, 60, or 90 days. After which the indicator will be turned off. The indicator is displayed next to the ministry name on the Missionary Slideout and the Smal Missionary List.

    InTouch Missions #

InTouch Missions is the software we refer to as “missionsApp” and is installed on every Mission Display. The missionsApp is proprietary software created by eMin Resources and managed by an amazing team of developers and support staff.

    Digital Missions Display #

In 2015, the implementation of Digital Missions Display was borne from the response to a request from Pastor Adam Summers of Faith Baptist Church in Chelsea. After a message, Pastor Summers shared his discovery of a touchscreen display technology for showcasing missionaries. Following three months of investigation and networking with other individuals committed to mission work, Paul connected with eMin Resources, the developer of the missionsApp, establishing a partnership.

Since 2017 Paul and his family have traveled across the country from Oregon to Long Island and throughout the Bible Belt installing, training, and servicing dozens of Missions Displays. After the pandemic hit, Paul contracted the virus and was hospitalized for 7 months. Waking up paralyzed and unable to speak, instead of cursing the situation, Paul just asked God to use him.

With the help of his incredibly faithful wife, after months of rehab, strengthening muscles, and learning to walk again, Paul and Tamara met the challenges.

In 2023 the Lord burdened Paul’s heart one more time. In April of 2023, he surrendered to full-time work with the Digital Mission Display for-profit ministry.

Digital Missions Display is based on the following principles:

    1. Excelling in missions, business, and ministry
    2. Creating a loving culture with churches leaders at work and in ministry
    3. Unforced freedom to honor God at work and express our faith
    4. Intentional missions-minded development opportunities for others
    5. Authentic care for business church leaders, church members, family members, and their concerns
    6. Expected business and personal growth with God’s guidance, will, and prayer strategies
    7. Everyone is encouraged to provide for the family, be a good steward, and use God’s resources to give and help others.
    8. Fostering an enjoyment of ministry life and work

    Global Setting #

Global settings affect the app as a whole. In the missionsApp, a global setting affects both the Advanced Map and the Basic Map functionality.
