Thinking
The Digital Missions Display is an interactive system that helps churches present the missionaries they support in a clear and engaging way. Instead of relying only on a traditional missions board with printed photos, the Digital Missions Display allows church members to explore missionaries using a touchscreen map and detailed missionary profiles.
The system is powered by the MissionaryConnect platform, which organizes missionary information and displays it through an interactive world map, spinning globe, or missionary card view.
Church members can walk up to the display, explore the mission field, and learn more about the missionaries their church supports.
How It Works #
Missionary information is entered into the MissionaryConnect system by church administrators or missionaries. Each missionary profile includes details about the missionary’s ministry and the location where they serve.
Once the information is entered, the system places missionaries on an interactive map using geographic coordinates. Members can tap or click a missionary to open their profile and learn more about their work.
This allows the church to visually connect their congregation with the mission field.
What Church Members Can Do #
With the Digital Missions Display, church members can:
• Explore missionaries on a spinning globe or world map
• Open detailed missionary profiles
• View photos and ministry updates
• Learn where missionaries are serving
• Become more aware of the church’s global missions work
Where It Is Used #
Many churches install a Digital Missions Display in their foyer, missions hallway, or fellowship area using a large touchscreen or television. The system runs through a web browser and connects to the MissionaryConnect platform.
Because the system is web-based, it can also be accessed from phones, tablets, and computers.
Why Churches Use It #
The purpose of the Digital Missions Display is simple: to help churches keep the harvest field visible before their congregation.
When church members can see where missionaries are serving and learn about their ministries, it encourages greater awareness, stronger prayer support, and deeper engagement with the work of missions.
