DIGITAL MISSIONS DISPLAY
WINDOWS KIOSK PERFORMANCE SETUP GUIDE
( Windows 10 Pro / Windows 11 Pro )
SECTION ONE: SET EDGE TO HIGH PRIORITY ( AUTOMATIC MODE ) #
STEP 1: ADD TO STARTUP #
This gives your Missions Display priority over other programs.
Right-click Desktop → New → Shortcut
Paste this:
cmd.exe /c start “” /high “C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe” –kiosk https://missionaryconnect.app/login –edge-kiosk-type=fullscreen –no-first-run –disable-extensions
STEP 2: ADD TO STARTUP #
Press Win + R
Type: shell
Press Enter
Move your shortcut into this folder
Now Edge will launch automatically in High priority every time the computer starts.

SECTION 2: USE WINDOWS KIOSK MODE ( RECOMMENDED ) #
This locks the computer to only run your missions display.
- Go to Settings
- Click Accounts
- Click Family & other users
- Click Set up a kiosk ( Assigned Access )
- Create a kiosk account
- Choose Microsoft Edge
- Select Digital Signage / Full Screen
- Enter your website URL https://missionaryconnect.app/login
- Select Never for time out
This ensures all system resources are focused on your display.
SECTION 3: SET VIRTUAL MEMORY ( IMPORTANT ) #
This gives your computer backup memory to prevent freezing. #
STEP 1: #
- Press Win + R
- Type: SystemPropertiesPerformance.exe
- Press Enter
STEP 2: #
- Click Advanced tab
- Under Virtual Memory click Change
OPTION 1 ( EASY ): #
- Check: Automatically manage paging file size
- Click OK
- Restart computer
OPTION 2 ( RECOMMENDED SETTINGS FOR 8GB RAM SYSTEMS ): #
- Uncheck automatic management
- Select drive C:
- Choose Custom size
Set:
Initial size: 12000 MB
Maximum size: 24000 MB
- Click Set
- Click OK
- Restart computer
SECTION 4: DISABLE BACKGROUND APPS #
This frees up memory for your kiosk.
- Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc ( Task Manager )
- Click Startup tab
- Disable all non-essential apps
Then:
- Go to Settings → Privacy → Background apps
- Turn OFF anything not needed
SECTION 5: OPTIMIZE EDGE SETTINGS #
Open Edge → Settings → System and Performance
Turn OFF:
- Continue running background apps
- Startup boost ( optional )
This keeps Edge focused on your display only.
SECTION 6: IMPORTANT NOTES #
- Use Realtime OR High Priority
- Restart after making changes
- 8GB RAM is recommended minimum for kiosks
