Versioning #
If you have a subscription to InTouch Missions App, you will have the ability to receive updates. If there is no new version available, the Update button will be grayed-out. The Update button will be live and versions will be visible when an update is ready for downloading and use.
Application Password #
The default password for a new installation of the missionsApp is changeme. Set the password to something secure that you will remember. We also advise writing the password down and storing it in a secure place. In order to check your password, tick the Reveal checkbox.
Pro Tip: It is important to note that changing the default password is highly recommended for security purposes.
Custom Code #
We often receive requests for customization of the software. Each time the software is installed, there is a ‘new instance’ on the missionsApp server. This means that your local version of the missionsApp can be modified for your instance only. We use the Custom Code Field to make those software modifications using a designated code.
Enforce IP Address Security Check #
If you choose to implement the Enforcing IP Address Security Check, the database used to store your missionary data will be locked down to the IP Address assigned to your software instance. If the computer is removed from the IP address ( or disconnected from the internet where the IP is registered ) the database will be locked down. NOTE: You must tick this checkbox to enable Enforce IP Address Security Check.
Allow Printing of Missionary Letters #
You can print missionary letters from the Digital Missions Display. To print letters from the missionsApp, you must have either a hard-wired printer connected or a printer connected that is on the same network. When this box is checked, a PRINT icon will be displayed on each prayer letter container. The prayer letter container opens when you select the Letters link at the bottom of the Missionary Landing Page.
Prayer Letter Container #
The Prayer Letter Container displays the latest missionary prayer letter and displays previous prayer letters if available. The container also displays the Lower Navigation. Users can chose from Images, Web Video, or the Missionary Home Page. There is also a Back button to return to the Missionary Slideout List.
Default Volume Level #
The missionsApp Software has a Default Volume Level feature that allows the Admin to adjust the volume level of the Windows Audio Driver. This feature is used to prevent overloaded sound issues.
Email Logs to Support #
Each time someone interacts with the missionsApp, their interaction is recorded as a Log. In the case of a software bug, we will request that you to email the log files to technical support. All you do is push the button and our Support Department receives an email. Presto!
Church Name and Church Email Contact #
When you initially sign up for a software subscription, we asked for an email and Ministry Name. Those two data points are registered here. However, you can change the Church Name or the Church Email Contact when needed.
Pro Tip: Remember to Save Changes.
Help Text Font #
One of the best features of the missionsApp is Customization. The software team has made great strides in handing the design of the user interface over to the administrators! Here you can change font style, font color, and font size.
Custom Fonts #
You can load custom fonts onto your computer and use those fonts to make changes like the font you see in the headings in the screenshots in this documentation, Keep On Truckin‘.
Editable Lower Text Fields #
Edit the text that is displayed on the lower part of the Advanced Map, Basic Map, and Screensaver.
Pro Tip: Use these areas to display visiting missionaries, upcoming events, or contact information.
Show URL on Missionary Homepages #
Globally, the Missionary Homepage has the option to show the URL that is in each input field. QR codes are automatically generated however, if you do not want to display the URL data on the Missionary Homepage, untick the checkboxes accordingly. This is a global function and applies to all Missionary Homepages.
Push Update to Kiosk(s) #
The Push Update to Kiosk feature is particularly useful for churches or locations that have multiple instances of the missionsApp running. It eliminates the need to manually enter missionary data into each instance by allowing the admin to push updated data to all instances of the software simultaneously. This feature can be utilized when all computers are connected to the same network, streamlining the process of updating data and minimizing the risk of errors.
It is important to note that every Digital Missions Display Package requires at least one instance of the software, which is available for a monthly fee of $20. For each additional instance running on the same network, the monthly fee is reduced to $15.
